The collaboration between Electa and Galleria Belvedere in Milan continues with the publication of a book dedicated to Occhiomagico.The book is dedicated to this photographic studio founded in 1971 by Giancarlo Maiocchi with Ambrogio Beretta.
Maiocchi is an author who could be defined both as an artist, who lent himself to photography because of the choices he made in the use of this medium, and as an authentic photographer for his ability in delving until catching the essence of the image and its surprising complexity.
With Occhiomagico, through a personal artistic research he has been an exponent of expressive currents as Post and Neo Modern, as well as a representative of multimedia experiences in which photography is contaminated with painting, music, video art and fashion. Giancarlo Maiocchi has been a professor of photographic art in Italy and abroad and in 2001 and 2002 was responsible for the photographic images of the Biennale di Venezia.
