As an amateur aviation hobbyist, the author has compiled a list of planes spotted at two airfields in the United Kingdom from 1952 through 1970 and he calls this record "a leisurely guide through aviation history". The author indicates that "spotters" needed some of the following equipment-transport, camera, telescope (30x), airband radio, folding chair, rug, and food.
