The Association of Illustrators (AOI) is delighted to announce the 31st anniversary of Images, the leading jury-selected illustration award, annual and exhibition in the UK. For many years "Images" has promoted illustration and provided the showcase for the fantastic talent and award winning contemporary illustration produced in the UK.
Today, the "Images" annual is established as the essential source tool for leading commissioners and industry professionals.The 31st anniversary will be celebrated by a fresh and innovative new look for the "Images" annual. This inspiring design reflects the amazing variety within contemporary illustration, from animation to calligraphy and costume design.

This year's annual kicks off with the award winners of each category in Advertising, Design & New Media, Books, Editorial and Self Promotion. Five judges for each category, prominent within the illustration industry, selected the awards.

The panel consists of highly regarded commissioners of illustration, well-known illustrators and cultural commentators, including John Rushworth, Partner of Pentagram Design Ltd, Roanne Bell, freelance design writer and editor, Patrick Coyne, Editor and Designer for "Communication Arts Magazine" and high profile illustrators Paul Davis, Steven Appleby and Sara Fanelli.
