Great experimenter of materials, Alighiero Boetti, commissioned from '71 to some Afghan embroiderers his most famous series: the Maps. This and other works made in the seventies highlight some key concepts of his work: diversity, difference and repetition. It is exactly between II 1972, after which he decided to enter an "E" between the name and the surname thus highlighting the duality of his identity, and 1979 that Boetti made his most important works. This is the period covered by the second exit off the necklace and general catalogs raisonné Electa.
